DeSoto FBLA attends Leadership Conference
ORLANDO -- Six of Desoto County High School "Future Business Leaders of America" represented District 4 at the State Leadership Conference, April 25th-28th in Orlando. These student business leaders competed in many areas of business ranging from Accounting I to Parliamentary Procedure against 3,300 students around the state.
Nidia Montelongo placed 4th in Accounting I and Latasia Polk placed 3rd in Computer Applications, both fell one place short from attending Nationals this summer. Accompanying these students were co-advisors Jenna Klossner and Cale Rasmussen. Mrs. Klossner stated, "We were very pleased these students performed so well, and are excited that all six students were underclassman that will surely achieve 1st place next year."
