Regional Science Fair

Eight students from DHS participated in the 2011 Regional Science Fair held Feb. 16 - 18 in Sebring:  Katlin Carr, Vanessa Cisneros, Jenna Heleski, Latrevious Jennings, Mariana Maldonado, Wally Martin, Jessica McClendon and Keith Schaper. 

Receiving White ribbons were:  Katlin Carr, Latrevious Jennings and Keith Schaper.Receiving Red ribbons were:  Vanessa Cisneros and Jenna Heleski.Receiving a Blue ribbon & $25 cash award:  Mariana Maldonado. 

Mariana also recieved from the United States Air Force:  an award certificate, a presentation folder, a Travis and Wells Charging Stand, a Computer Backpack, and a Leeds Scripto Flash Bundle Set for outstanding science fair achievement.She was also selected to attend the State Science & Engineering Fair in Orlando March 23 - 25, AND was also selected to attend the International Science & Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, CA. May 8 - 13.    

We are proud of all eight students, and give a special congratulations to Mariana Maldonado.
